Scott’s introduction to music started with his father who was an amateur organist.  At the age of 7 he became interested in the Hammond Organ himself and began to learn the fundamentals of music through the instrument.   Under his father’s tutelage he slowly became familiar with the standards and would play for family and guests.

Around the age of 12 he became interested in the piano as well and began classical piano lessons.  A number of years later he became interested in jazz music and both styles are heard in his playing.  

He didn’t start playing “out” again for a number of years but ultimately he followed his heart and went on to play all over the tri state area.   He has played in many well known places such as the Waldorf Astoria, the Kitano Hotel and the Water Club in NYC as well as the Somerset Palace in NJ and Penn Ryn Mansion in Pennsylvania.   In 2003 he played solo piano at the Cornerstone Café in Metuchen NJ for a year and 2005 played at Jamie’s Restaurant in Clifton NJ for a number of months.    He continues to play all over the northeast for all types of functions.

His repertoire would be described as a little bit of everything from classical, ragtime, standards, Broadway, seventies’ and hits of today.  His style is of a “pop” nature with elements of jazz and classical interspersed throughout his playing.   

In 2005 he was hired to be a pianist at Nordstrom in the Menlo Park Mall in Edison NJ and continued to play there for three years.  He plays periodically in the Atlantic Highlands at the Blue Bay Inn Hotel Lounge.  Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday evenings' you can find him at Steakhouse 85 in New Brunswick NJ.  And as of October he is playing Friday evenings' at Sebastian's Steakhouse in Morristown NJ.
