Hi, my name is Katia and I am a soprano with a Performance Certificate in Opera and Solo Vocal Performance from CU-Boulder. I have studied music my whole life, starting with piano and eventually moving to voice. My teaching style can best be described as grounded. My goal as a teacher is to help each student find their unique voice and sound, and I do that through building confidence and body awareness. In my lessons, you can expect to make a lot of weird sounds and explore the instrument inside you! My favorite thing about teaching is watching the sense of accomplishment my students feel when they figure something out. I primarily teach classical voice as I believe it is the best foundation, but I can also teach other styles, including musical theater. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Hope to meet you soon!

What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Expect a supportive but goal-oriented environment. I'm here to help you succeed in your singing goals! I do a lot of exercises that focus on breath support and body awareness. I start all my students with classical repertoire as I believe that it builds the strongest foundation for a healthy voice. However, I am open to other genres and love learning about new music from my students!
