Hello, my name is Katherine and I will be a second-year student at the Eastman School of Music this fall. My professional experiences includes serving as the student teacher for the 2019 session of the Chautauqua Institution's music festival. When teaching, I think it is important to emphasize solid technique and position while also incorporating aspects of music theory to help students not only to play the music but understand it's well. My aim as a teacher is to help my students improve based on their own goals as well as my goals for them, in addition to making sure that they are playing and learning things that they enjoy.
