Quincy S.

I am a recent college graduate from the University of South Carolina, with a bachelors degree in music education, clarinet performance and secondary administration. Also, a masters degree in conducting and music education. I have recently decided to further my education, but would still like to lead, enrich, and encourage young to old to generate and create music out of this world. I have been a part of many ensembles throughout my 14 years of playing clarinet, such as The South Carolina Wind Symphony, University of South Carolina Wind Ensemble, University of South Carolina Symphonic Winds, and the infamous Mighty Sound of the Southeast Marching band of the University of South Carolina. My musical abilities and passion to teach strengthen in middle school, as I primarily played clarinet, piano, low woodwinds, and brass. My goal is to become a college professor of clarinet, develop my own studio and build relations through music, clarinet pedagogy, music theory, and music history. Furthermore, I have led many ensembles, held master classes all instruments, been on staff at several high schools, worked leadership camps for drum majors, and section leaders, etc. I know I have the overall ability to lead such individuals-enriching them, but also making great music at the same time.
