18 Years
I grew up in a family of violists and began attending Temple Music Prep in Philadelphia every weekend as a young girl. After my years there I attended The Juilliard School and New England Conservatory earning my Bachelor of Music degree in Viola Performance. While attending both schools I had many amazing opportunities such as I performed at Carnegie Hall under the baton of Itzak Perlman. I also have performed under the baton of great conductors such as Alan Gilbert, James Levine, Michael Tilson Thomas and Bernard Haitink. I also had the opportunity to work with Metropolitan Opera’s Lindemann Young Artist Development Program which was an amazing experience. I've been teaching about 5 years and love sharing what I've learned with my students and watching them progress!

What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons
For my beginning students, I usually start them off with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. The book is good for teaching the fundamentals and getting practice with the first part in learning violin/viola. After the first three books I will generally take a look into what the student wants to focus on, if it's learning a certain pop song or folk tune, I'm open and ready to help the student learn what they want, while also continuing to improve their overall technique. I'm also a fan of using etude books to give the student a lot of exercises to practice which will very much help their technique and foundation.
