My name is Christian, and I have been studying and playing music for over a decade. This has been my passion from the moment that I picked up a guitar. I could not get enough of what music had to offer and attended college at the University of Virginia to learn as much about it as I could. This, along with the several years of live performance experience, has given me so insight into music that I would love to share. What I offer is a relaxed environment where we can help you grow into the musician that you want to become. With personalized lessons designed to help develop your strengths and correct trouble areas, you will be playing guitar or bass at the level you want to achieve. Most importantly, we will always have fun along the way.

What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Depending on whether their songs are instrumental or lyrical we will tackle different aspects of songwriting. Prominent parts of my lessons will include song structure, music theory, rhyme schemes and types, poetry, and having the student write as much as they can.
What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Students can expect lessons catered to their learning needs. After the first lesson, we will have personalized goals set to work towards, and will do so in such a way that promotes good habits and maintains the joy of playing. This will be accomplished through listening to songs, scale practice, learning songs, and encouraging the student to write their own songs using the tools provided from each lesson.

I have received private lessons for 8 years throughout my time in school and continue to attend masterclasses.

I have been performing actively for 10 years now.

My teaching experience is geared towards one-on-one lessons and small groups of 10 to 15 people.
