About Me

Born in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Marc has been making music since the age of five. After three long years of abuse by Drum set, his mother talked him into taking up the guitar like his two older Brothers, and sanity was once again restored. On his 10th Birthday, Marc asked for a Bass guitar, being that... "The fingering of chords were to hard for a drummer", and "on the Bass you only play one note at a time",.. ."and we could be like the Osmonds, or The Jackson Five!!! We'll be HUGE!!!" he told the Family. It was a match, by the time Marc was 14, and a freshman in High School, he played well enough to take First Chair position, (from two seniors), for the Schools Jazz Band. The Music Director then decided to add a "Marching Bass Guitar",(complete with amp on a push cart, that was pushed by the number 2 chair person) between line of Tubas, and the Drum Line for the Marching band. His Senior year, both the Marching Band, and the Jazz Ensemble took First Place at State events.   After school Marc moved to Florida, and gained experience, playing with three different A-List area Rock Bands simultaneously. He also began his career in Live Sound Production, and Studio Engineering, attending Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. Marc then went to work doing Concerts as the House Electrician at "Janis Landing Courtyard", in St. Petersburg, and house sound man at "Rockefeller's" in Bradenton.  From that, Marc got his foot in the door with the right people, and began doing session work for several local recording studios, and also short tours with some heavy hitters in the late 80's, and Early 90's, playing Concerts all over the country. Marc has shared the stage with Eddie Rabbit, Devon Allman, Gregg Allman, Dickie Betts, Pat Travers, Johnny Winter, John Lee Hooker Jr., not to mention the other 34 bands, and all the musicians (that we don't have room to talk about here), that Marc has worked, jammed, and preformed with over the past 30-40 years.   Marc is now working on his own original music project, were he is playing all the instruments (Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards, Vocals), himself, and doing all the engineering, recording, and production. He settled in to the Colorado Springs area 12 years ago, so you can catch him playing at area venues from time to time, and you can also take advantage of over 40 years of professional On-Stage, In-Studio experience, and Book a lesson today. No matter what your skill level is, Marc has something for everybody, and he can definitely help you improve your playing.

Marc C. has over 50 years of music experience in the Colorado Springs area.

Marc C. is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons, Bass Guitar Lessons, Vocal Lessons, Song Writing Lessons, Record Engineer Produce .

What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

The first lesson is always a, "see where we are", kinda thing. We will talk about what you want to achieve in your playing, how far along you are in the learning process. I'll play for you, you play for me, so we can get a feel for each other, and see what we need to work on to reach your goals. If you are just starting out, we can start with the simple stuff, and go from there. I am real laid back, and down to earth when it comes to music, so, relax, and book a lesson. There's no knuckle smacking in my teaching method, ( I like electric shock ....JOKING!! ). Seriously, it's all about Music, and Music is FUN. I can show you what you need to know, to go as far as you want to. So lets have some fun, and we can both learn something together.
