Hi, my name is Matt. I began singing and playing Guitar/ bass at the age of twelve. Since I was a teenager I have performed live in countless of bands and still have an active performance career. I got my Bachelors degree from the University of St. Francis in Joliet in Digital Audio Recording Arts. Alongside with the degree I received private guitar lessons from Jeff Jaskowiak, and Vocal Training from Jeff Ray. My goal is to let students explore whatever it is they want to learn about their instrument while teaching them to be comfortable with music theory. I want every student to feel confident while trying to approach a career in music, or to allow your hobby to be all-inclusive and entertaining. I can also give lessons on any DAW that you may be interested in. Let me teach you how to be your own producer.

Having studied at Illinois number one school for audio engineering I can teach you everything there is to know about gear, how to run a session, DAWS, recording techniques, mic placement, troubleshooting, working with clients, and mixing and mastering.
What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
I will teach you everything you need to know about writing in any particular style. I have written songs for ten years plus and I understand every artist is different. If you have songs or want to know how to write, I can help make your songs entertaining for all audiences-In all styles. I have studied song structure while attending at USF and have written many songs during my time there. I will do everything I can to help you feel confident about what you're putting down or help you overcome the writer's block you may be experiencing.

I began Playing bass in Jazz band in HS. I can teach you what you need to know from just playing the basics and making sure your scales are down, to teaching you how to improvise on all types of music.
What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Vocals are my strongest skill. I can teach you everything you need to know about learning to sing, but also how to support a healthy voice. I will give you the confidence you need to sing in front of a thousand people. I have taken private lessons and working with choirs since I was fourteen, and vocal performance has always been a passion of mine. I can teach you how to expand your range and to learn to sight-readand understand the music you are singing not only from the diaphragm but from the heart as well.

I have a very heavy Blues and Rock Background. From playing in rock bands and christian bands, I know all there is getting the best sound. I can teach you all about scales and modes while allowing you to learn how to develop your own sound. Ability to play and tone is what I am all about. From chords to shredding like SRV I can teach you how to develop the right skills
