Hi, my name is Rebekah and I am a 22-year-old from San Diego, California, though I currently reside in Gaffney, SC. I have been a student of music for 18 years. My musical influences range from Nirvana to Mozart, and most everything in between. My teaching style can best be described as innovative, fun and challenging. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I encourage students to find their own voice as a musician. In my lessons, students can expect to learn proper posture and breathing techniques, music history and theory, as well as learning music they can enjoy performing. My favorite thing about teaching is getting to know my students and sharing my love of music with them. My students love that I challenge them in a way that encourages them to push themselves and their abilities as a musician, as well as a person. I primarily teach voice, but I can also teach song writing, composition and theory. My approach as a teacher is to try to be as understanding as possible because every student learns differently and at different rates. Thank you for taking a look at my profile. What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
It is very important that I sit down and talk with the student the first lesson in order to determine their level of experience so I can begin creating lesson plans that best suit the student.This also allows time to get to know the student and their aspirations as a song writer/composer so I can help them reach their goals. I always hold lessons in a safe environment, where the student, as well as myself, feels comfortable. I also try to utilize the time spent with the student in the most efficient way possible in order for them to get the most out of their lesson time.
What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

Students can expect to be in a safe environment where they will learn singing techniques such as breathing, posture, intonation and many other vocal skills.I want my students to set goals and be able to take what they learn in lessons and apply them in their work outside of the lessons in order to reach their full potential. I try to utilize the time spent with the student in the most efficient way possible in order for them to get the most out of their lesson time.
