I have played music since I began taking saxophone lessons in elementary school. At the age of 13, my interests took me to the guitar, which has been my primary instrument for the past 19 years. My father is an 80s-era shred guitarist, and so shredding was the first thing I learned to do. At the age of 16, however, I first heard John Coltrane. That experience changed my life and shaped all the music I have played since. For the past 13 years, I have been an actively performing and recording artist based in the Lehigh Valley, PA. I play jazz, rock, fusion, blues, and avant-garde improvisation. Most all of my music is entirely improvised, and I have played with some of the most accomplished improvising musicians from around the country. My music is technically challenging, diverse, and harmonically complex, but never I hope cold and calculating. I try to run the spirit of jazz improvisation through all that I do. As of February 2018 I am recording my fifth album. As always, it is unlike anything I have done before, which makes it both challenging and exciting.
