9 Years
John began playing the French Horn at the age of 11. Over the years, he developed his skills further by practicing regularly and attending the Juilliard School and Yale School of Music. He gained performance experience in the New York City Metro area by playing at such venues as Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall and with acts such as Alan Gilbert, the late Loren Maazel, and the Grammy award-winning Gil Evans Project. Though John can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are Classical and Contemporary Classical which had great influence on his style of playing. John loves music because it inspires us and loves teaching music because seeing students improve is deeply rewarding and fun. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, John can help you expand and enhance your playing. John is excited to learn how he can help you reach your musical goals.
