About Me

Sarah began playing flute at the age of 14. Over the years, she developed her skills further by taking private lessons then studying flute at the University of Idaho under Dr. Leonard Garrison. She gained performance experience in the flute and piccolo area by playing at such venues as Washington Idaho Symphony, the Idaho Bach Festival, the Palouse Trio, and the Duo, and with acts such as serving as Board Member for the Auditorium Chamber Series and Business Manager for the Galesburg Community Chorus. Though Sarah can teach many different genres of music, her musical personal favorites are classical and jazz, which had great influence on her style of playing. Sarah loves music because it is good for the mind and body and loves teaching music because music expands the mind. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, Sarah can help you expand and enhance your playing. Sarah is excited to learn how she can help you reach your musical goals. Day 1

Excellent start to learning piano. Excellent choice of piano teacher. Day 1 lesson was exactly what I was hoping for in that I received a good practice session, a challenging lesson plan for progression and a very personable instructor who made it fun too.
