Jonathon has played, and taught music over 9 years. He began playing guitar for over 12 years and continued his education by working as a music leader for several bands. His musical influences include Modest Mouse, Death Cab for Cutie, Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, Smashing Pumpkins, Twenty One Pilots, Imagine Dragons. Jonathon enjoys connecting with songs, creating new songs and just listening and driving and his favorite thing about teaching music is watching someone grow as a musician and learn how to play guitar and become a creator themselves. One of his favorite teaching experiences was a student of his who wanted to be in a band but had no guitar playing ability joined him and learned how to play. Jonathon had the chance to watch him play with that band a year and a half later.
