Jada, known under the stage name of Chrys Monaé is a 22 year old singer, songwriter, and producer who began her musical journey in 2010 while in high school after receiving a miniature acoustic guitar designed for children. With determination, persistence and the help of YouTube, this Chicago born native taught herself to sing and play her first song in less than 48 hours which embarked her craving for music.  Shortly after, Chrys Monaé enrolled and went on to study classical and jazz guitar at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois where her passion for writing and singing original music was cultivated. Ready to get her feet wet in the music industry, she landed internships just months shy of her graduation with Konstant Groove Entertainment where she mastered live mixing for performers and with the 411 Brand creating an EP alongside Grammy award-winning engineer Stafa and producer Xcelency inside Atlanta's famous, Patchwerk Studios, where musical greats such as 2pac, Nas, John Legend, Rick Ross, B.O.B., Lil Wayne, Akon, and Jessica Simpson have also recorded. During her time in Atlanta she also was introduced to music producing which has plunged her into her new career path of writing and producing all of her own music. In 2017, Chrys Monaé earned her B.A. in Music Business and has since studied vocal training and has been trained professionally using the commercially successful world renowned method, "speech-level-singing". Chrys Monaé's unconventional blend of electronic and hip-hop genres unleashes a unique sound her millennial audience demands. She is currently working on an upcoming project cover and visual expo of Papaoutai by Stromaé produced and starring herself.
