I started teaching myself guitar at the age of 19. I bought a chord book and started learning some until I was playing complete songs. Since I had sung in quoir at church and school I wanted to be able to accompany myself plus singing along with the radio helped me learn lyrics and make the chord changes. I haven't taught in a while but I have been on the other end taking lessons here and there but the correspondence course in guitar/music really helped a lot. I took that while stationed in Iceland. I still take a blues course on the internet using what is new to me. My favorite music to play besides my own is 60's and 70's tunes & old gospel hymns...country music is my second favorite

my students can expect a teacher who wants to see them succeed...if they just want to play for friends that's cool, if for themselves that's cool or if they want to play professionally that's cool...I know some chords are hard to make...I will put a hold on that chord and teach them a different easier way but still have them practice on the tough on between sessions
What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
I will take some popular songs...we will discuss what made them click...I will even let them critique some of my songs as I have a few...we will get into rhyming every other line and rhyming within a line
What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce
Beginner - Intermediate
I will teach budgeting your session...putting a song together that only has lyrics...and use information bought while attending Mediatech Institute's Recording Arts Program
