Joe was born and raised in the greater Philadelphia region. He grew up on a wide variety of music from and early age and began playing guitar seriously at the age of 12. After playing guitar for two years Joe switched to playing bass on the side and eventually took it up full time. After graduating high school as a Tri M Music honor society member and receiving the Sempra Fidelis Marine Band Award, Joe started Berklee College of Music in the fall of 2005. After graduating with a Bachelor's Of Music and gigging through out Boston Joe has relocated to Nashville to continue educating students and working as a professional bassist.

Joseph Bi is proficient in and teaches Bass Guitar Lessons .Formal Education:
Chichester Middle/ High School- Chichester Pennsylvania
- Here I was a member of the Jazz Band, Concert band and Choir.
Private Education:
Caruso Brothers Music- 8 years of studying. I studied electric guitar, classical guitar, and started bass.
Berklee College Of Music- Majored in Bass Performance focusing primarily on electric
Performing Experience:
The Joe Birmingham Experiment-(my own group that I have led)- 5 years
Soul City- Boston based function band- 3 months ( I was a sub)
Paula Karahalis Band- Gloucester, Ma. based rock and cover band- 6 Months (subed in group before relocating)
Cory Allen Staats Band- Boston Based singer songwriter- 6 months (subed in group before relocating)
Bosa Mora Band- LA based R&B songwriter- 1 year (subed for bassist who was on tour)
I have performed on various demo recordings for songwriters throughout Boston.
