What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons
My students can expect to learn how to produce a clear, beautiful sound while playing the instrument efficiently, which allows them to learn any and all repertoire over time! Understanding the concept of how to interpret any piece of music and get your voice heard in any musical circumstance through a positive mind is a key concept to the student’s development in their music education on trumpet. Achieving a positive way of thinking about how to approach playing the trumpet is only beneficial to the student’s learning. When one is about to perform a work for trumpet and approaching it with a powerful mindset of having fun and being positive, the performance overall will have more feeling and excitement to the listener, and more important, the musician himself/herself. This mindset allows for the student to expand their interpretational skills of all music, just through the power of having fun creating music. It is important that the private instructor is completely engaged in the student’s learning and enjoyment of their trumpet playing. If the student isn’t enjoying their time, it is important to find out what’s wrong and how to adapt to that student’s specific needs and wants to positively influence their learning. Music education between multiple different students is going to be different for each student. It is important for the music teacher to learn from their own teaching and accustom to each and every student to make the learning environment more welcoming and compelling for them. Learning about the student and how they learn only benefits the environment and helps the student have a more gratifying time playing the trumpet.
