Guitar Lessons, Bass Guitar Lessons, Vocal Lessons, Song Writing Lessons
Home
My name is Graham. I'd have to say that my love for music began far before I received my first guitar at age 8. The inspiration always came from videos of these huge rock bands that were playing to hundreds of thousands of people packing stadiums. By the time I was in middle school, I was bringing my guitar with me everywhere just to practice. By age 15, I had started my first band and began playing in friend's living rooms and garages at parties. Naturally, that progressed into a few more well-rounded and put together projects that took us all over Volusia County's affluent music scene. Now, I own a music blog that I started last year with my friend and Business Partner. I'd like to try my hand at education.
What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Simple song writing in quantity. Write a Verse, write a Chorus, write some melodies, play the song; rinse and repeat. Another big focus is rewriting. Taking something you wrote weeks or months ago and changing little bits, adding more as you learn new techniques.
What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
I was classically trained in a choral setting from a young age. From there, I migrated into Grunge, Punk, and Metal vocals, which has given me quite a large perspective on vocal tonality. The focus of these lessons will be pitch matching, as that is the number one most important thing any vocalist should practice on a day-to-day basis. Other important elements would include, range expansion, non-major/minor melody building, and finding new harmonies in melodies.
What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons
In addition, of course, to the education of clients on technical aspects of playing and the understanding of sheet music, I would like to focus on personal tonality. I think that everyone should have an equal opportunity to find their play style and preferred tone as they improve. I believe that this is imperative to finding your own perfect sound, especially down the road. As such, I believe the technical and artistic aspects of playing the instrument should share an equal focus during education.
