What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Students can expect to gain valuable skills and technique that they can continue to apply to their singing in the future. I'm all about helping student achieve their short and/or long term goals. My personal goal is to be able to equip students with proper technique in addition to meeting the student's learning goal. I am all about helping you learn whatever it is you are interested in, but I do stress technique. Reason being, if you work toward proper technique the places you will go with singing are unlimited! Also, we all want to keep our voice healthy and powerful!
Formal Education:
-Earned a BA from Knox College in Music and Biochemistry in Galesburg, IL-Currently earning a MS in Medical Physiology at Case Western Reserve University!
Private Education:
-Started private voice lessons since age 10 and have been expanding my music knowledge ever since-Have been part of various choirs both religious and non-religious
Performing Experience:
I've partaken in various solo and ensemble performances! I started my music career after I was cast in a play in elementary school. The rest is history, I enrolled in private voice lessons after joining a local choir. I've formally been involved in music ever since.
Experience Teaching:
I have helped within my college choir and college acapella group members with learning music. The most important takeaway is that you can constantly learn from your peers! It's also good to have a mentor to keep you in check as it is very easily to slip into bad habits.
