Savannah C.
Song Writing Lessons, Orchestral Lessons
Studio
7 Years
I started the violin almost two decades ago, and most recently, I have earned a degree from Converse College in music composition. During that time, I have been trained in the Suzuki and Galamian methods of study, with experience teaching students of all levels and ages.
Savannah C. has over 7 years of music experience in the Charleston area.
Savannah C. is proficient in and teaches Song Writing Lessons, Orchestral Lessons .Degree and Field of Study:
What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons
I have taken lessons in music composition from a variety of teachers with a variety of teaching styles. I've learned that it's best to encourage a student to develop their own style of writing, rather than trying to force them to write my way. This involves creating an individual, unique plan of study for each student. This involves work in music theory and history, to develop a solid understanding of music in their niche, and music as a whole.
What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
I teach the violin, and on occasion, the viola. With beginners, I use the Suzuki method, which with children, involves heavy participation by the parent, listening assignments, and lots of fun, with a focus on the development of a solid foundation and technique. With advanced students, I use the Galamian method, which is far more intensive, though it still focuses on technique, with little emphasis on repertoire.
