I build my curriculum around each individual student. When a student comes to their first lesson, we will assess their knowledge of music and work our way up! We will also determine what the students wants to get out of the lesson, whether they want to just learn beginner piano or learn how to play Beethoven! Basic music theory is always a part of my lessons because I believe it’s important to understand the music you are performing. I can also teach beginners how to read music if they do not know.

I build my curriculum around each individual student. When students come to their first lesson, they should come prepared with 2 songs that best represent their voice style. If the student doesn't know which songs to sing, they can either come to their lesson and we will figure it out together, or they can pick 2 songs that they just like to sing. Once the students voice style(s) is determined, then we start from the bottom of their musical knowledge and work our way up! I always ask the student what they want to get out lessons, whether it’s to sing their favorite song for their loved ones, or become a professional singer!
