As a Media Studies & Production major at Temple University, I have years of experience playing guitar, bass, and singing in bands, booking shows and managing the road operations of being in a traveling band, running hte live sound at music festivals, and producing and recording my own original music. Currently, I play bass in the band Mercury Retrograde which has been touring on the local Applachian music festival scene since 2016, as well as hosting our own music festival, Groove in the Grove.
Adam B. has over 12 years years of music experience in the Philadelphia area.
Adam B. is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons, Bass Guitar Lessons, Record Engineer Produce .Degree and Field of Study:
What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce
As a Media Studies and Production major at Temple University, I was taught by Grammy-winning record producers who made some of Philly's biggest hits every out of Sigma Sound studios. I can teach the fundamentals of digital recording, live tracking, mixing, and live sound work.
What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons
Having played in various bands in the Temple University music scene, I was eventually recruited to play bass in the psychedelic jam band Mercury Retrograde. Now, I tour around music festivals in the local Appalachian jam music scene, dropping funky bass grooves that keep audiences dancing and having a good time! I can teach in various styles from rock to country to jazz to funk, as well as the technical knowledge about basses, amplifiers, and other equipment that is necessary to become a good player with a good sound.
What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
I have played guitar in bands since I was 12 years old. At Temple University, I was heavily involved in the school's music scene, booking shows and playing with my band DOG, organizing and hosting small do-it-yourself shows at various houses, bars, and venues, and recording and producing my own original music. I can play and teach rock 'n' roll, country, jazz, psychedelic, blues, soul, and funk music, as well as the technical knowledge about guitars, amplifiers, and equipment that is needed to become a good player with a good sound. My personal philosophy is to find out what style of music the student gravitates towards, so I can cater my lesson plan to that and have them learn through the process of individual discovery, inspiration, and fun!
