About Me

I have been surrounded by music all my life. Starting at the age of three and lasting throughout elementary school, I was dancing folkloric Bolivian dances alongside family and friends at many ethnic dance events. In middle school and high school I was heavily involved in choir. In college I was introduced to and learned different styles of music, gigged around the Sanford and Lake Mary area with a jazz quintet, and was hired by the music program to be the music theory tutor. Now, I teach and play guitar around the Orlando and Lake Mary area. As you can see, music has always played a big role in my life and whether I was dancing, singing, or playing guitar, I was learning a lot along the way. Years of performing different forms of music art has sculpted me into the musician I am today, and I want to pass that on to you. For the past three years I have been a part of the Seminole State College music program and for two of those years I was taking private lessons under Steve Luciano, one of the best jazz/blues guitarists in central Florida. Steve taught me most of what I play today which is jazz, bossa nova, funk, and blues. Aside from those genres, I love to play acoustic, Latin, and fusion styles of guitar. With everything I have learned about music thus far, I trust my ability to teach guitar to any student of any playing level and to give you something to take away each and every time you leave my lessons.

Alejandro I. has over 1 years of music experience in the Altamonte Springs area.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

My guitar lessons are guaranteed to be productive and engaging with different styles and methods of teaching being brought to the table with every lesson. I believe learning songs is one of the best ways of learning how to play music so learning songs will be a big focus in my lessons along with guitar techniques and musicality. Leaving my lessons, you will have music and guitar techniques to work on along with the occasional worksheet. These exercises are designed to improve your finger dexterity and overall playing. All of the tools that I will give you will greatly improve your playing but only if you do one thing: practice. As your teacher, my job is to teach you the techniques of playing the guitar. Your job is to practice them. I'm a firm believer your progress directly correlating to your practice. Now that's not to say that you have to practice all day every day or even every day or week. It all depends on what you want. And I want to help you get there.
