Soprano Christina hails from the West Coast where she grew up playing the piano and singing in local musical theater productions. She started studying voice at the age of 13 which led her to the prestigious San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she received her Bachelor and Master of Music with significant scholarship. Highlights of the young soprano’s career include performing a recital at Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall, as well as her debut as Pamina in Die Zauberflöte in Müllheim, Germany. Though much of her performance experience is in opera, she still maintains a love for the musical theater, having played roles such as Julie in Carousel, and Eliza in My Fair Lady. She has performed all over the United States, Austria, Germany, and Italy with such companies as Santa Barbara Opera, Eugene Opera, Stockton Opera, and the New York Lyric Opera. Most recently, Christina sang the role of Mabel in Pirates of Penzance at the esteemed Alice Tully Hall in New York City. As a member of the professional New York Choral Artists and Concert Chorale of New York, Cristina has performed regularly at both Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center with the New York Philharmonic, Vienna Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, and the Juilliard Opera, among others. Christina teaches both piano and voice to students ranging in ages 5 to adult. She has taught the style not only of classical music, but of pop, jazz, and country as well. She believes in the importance of helping each student find the music that speaks to him or her as an individual.
