About Me

Hi! My name is Cassandra. I am 22 years old. Born and raised in Miami, Florida. I am a senior in college pursuing a degree in Musical Theater. I have performed since I was 13 in local theaters and worked as a Disney character “look-a-like” for a children's party event. I recently moved to PA. I enjoy singing and acting. I love the arts! I love to sing (obviously) and I also love to paint and create back drops for different shows. I have taken voice lessons myself (classical, Musical Theater/ Opera) and those were always my favorite classes, I hope to make my own as enjoyable!

What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Three very important elements to song writing are rhyme, rhythm and reason. These are the words I live by when it comes to song writing. Students should expect these classes to get very real. To know yourself emotionally and mentally is very important, it determines what kind of music you want to write and what words you want to use to express the Students can expect for this to be a very freeing experience. They will learn the power that each word holds. Students should also expect this to be a no judgment zone, they can be as comfortable and honest as they want. Students can expect their lessons to be made just for them, however seems fitting to their personality. I love writing about serious subjects to even funny moments. Expect to start the class with a mind opening subject ( different every time ) to start becoming comfortable and forgetting the outside world, to then focus on the crafts in front of us.

What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

Technique is one of the most important things in mastering a skill. Students should expect to learn their voices and capabilities. classes are both fun and educational. I am a big goof-ball but I also take lessons very serious. I know that everyone works at their own pace and process information differently. Students should expect to learn breathing techniques, a variety of vocal warms up and learn their proper vocal range and expand it to their desires while also keeping their own health and needs in mind. I will also be sharing some of own natural home-made remedy secrets and ingredients to keeping a healthy body and voice. Expect to be given new music always. We will work on different music pieces depending on the students' choice of genre. I can challenge a student as much as they want to be challenged while still having fun and feeling comfortable. Students should expect professionalism, and I will get a feel on how serious they are or if it is just a hobby that is perfect too. If the student wants to take their lessons serious to continue a career as a performer then they should expect a bit of “real world" tips. If the student is in it for the fun then they should expect just that while staying professional.

Formal Education:

I graduated with Associate's Degree in Music Education from Miami Dade College and am now in senior year for Bachelor's in Musical Theater.

Private Education:

I was in private voice lessons and acting lessons for about 8 years.

Performing Experience:

I have sung professionally since I was 13. I began Musical Theater in high school. I have worked in West Side Story as Ensemble, Sandy in Grease, Camila Rosario in In The Heights, Eliza in Hamilton and Cosette and Eponine in two different productions of Les Miserables. I was also a Disney character look-a-like for a children's party company playing the “look-a-likes” of Elsa, Aurora, Maleficent, Merida and Mother Gothel.

Experience Teaching:

I began love for teaching as the Soprano Section leader in high school. I never saw that role as in “I am in charge" but more as a being able to help anyone and everyone. After graduating high school I began doing private voice lessons and have been doing so for 4 years now.
