Although Justin was not my applied piano student at the University of Georgia, I was very familiar with his work. From the first time I heard Justin in a piano jury, I was immediately impressed with his pianistic ability and serious attitude towards his musical studies. It has been a pleasure to see him mature and develop into a fine musician over the past few years. Justin has remarkable technical prowess and is also extremely musical. His degree recitals always featured very dramatic and provocative performances. Although I have not witnessed any teaching by Justin, he did graduate with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education, which means that he has taken many education courses that will greatly assist him in his piano teaching. I have no doubt that Justin will be very successful as a piano teacher and will communicate his love of music to his students.
