Hey, my name is Megan. I have been playing the guitar for 15 years. I have experience writing songs (guitar and lyrics), playing rhythm guitar with a Christian worship band (2 years), and professionally performing rock music as a lead guitarist and lead singer (7 years). My sisters and I played a variety of genres (Rock, Raggae, Jazz, Blues, Alternative) over the course of 7 years, but classic rock covers and original music were our specialties. From Led Zepplin to The Doors, we reimagined classic rock music in a new way with all female musicians and singers. Nowadays, I play at my church and am focusing on continuing my education in New Orleans, LA. I can play and teach both electric and acoustic guitar. I have experience teaching guitar to children and teenagers for one year.

Megan Recommendation
While I am not familiar with Megan’s work as a musician, I am quite familiar with her capabilities as an educator. Over three years ago, Megan was a student in my tutor training course at Mississippi College. This invitation-only course is notoriously rigorous, and Megan completed it with exceptional skill and grace. Since that time, Megan has been an ideal employee of the Mississippi College Writing Center as a tutor. In this capacity, Megan regularly met with writers from a variety of ages, nationalities, and first languages, and she became a sought-after tutor for her politie disposition and ability to help others meet their learning objectives. On multiple occasions, we worked together with particularly challenged students as they prepared for a standardized test. In these instances, Megan would lead a group of three to six writers through a series of exercises.
