Jordan B.

Music has been Jordan's lifelong passion. She is a classically trained, award winning vocalist and front-woman of Chicago's genre-busting psychedelic synth quartet Sexy Fights. The band released their debut album 'Too Far Out' in 2016. She gravitated towards singing and performing at a very early, always begging to stay up late past her bedtime to listen to records with her dad. By elementary school, she was singing solos and participating in choir music classes. She urged her parents to sign her up for voice lessons and began attending a performing arts school for private instruction. In middle school, she began competing as a solo vocalist for the Illinois Music Association focusing on pop, classical, jazz, and broadway. She participated in a wide range of traditional choirs, show choirs, gospel choir, private lessons, and musical theater. She spent any free time at home singing, dancing, learning new songs, and recording onto an old karaoke machine her parents bought her. She received many awards and accolades for her vocal achievements throughout school. She began going to local shows and getting involved in the Chicago music scene early in high school. Upon graduating, she moved to Chicago and immediately started writing and performing with Sexy Fights. She lived in two underground DIY music venues and was surrounded by many talented local artists and musicians that continued to inspire her philosophy of performance. She loves music of all genres and cultures and is constantly on the look out for new influences. She is knowledgeable about music production and has begun working with synthesizers, drum machines, and Ableton to continue to improve her musicianship. She is thrilled to begin her career as a vocal instructor and hopes to provide students with a lifelong outlet in which they can find joy and freely express themselves as musicians.
