Hi, my name is Mark and I am a piano teacher from Oregon, recently arrived. I started piano when I was 4 years old! My musical influences include classical, Jazz, Rock and Improvisational artists. My teaching style can best be described as eclectic and modern with a twist of humor. My teaching philosophy can best be described with emphasis on fundamentals. Sometimes, there's no getting around learning the notes and rules of music. Many times students miss out on the enjoyment of good sight reading. My favorite thing about teaching is helping people improve quickly, as learn how to improvise. I don't sponsor piano recitals. Instead, I put on "piano parties", helping students showcase their work. They're loads of fun! About me: I have performed for a variety of companies, celebrity events and Hollywood-type parties throughout Southern California.
