1+ Years
Carl has always loved music from an early age starting with his parents playing CDs by Charles Mingus and Thomas Dolby. He began playing piano at the age of 11 and continued his education through college, studying piano and Music Production and Engineering at Berklee College of Music. His musical influences include greats and hidden gems from jazz, electronic music and indie rock, from Miles Davis to LCD Soundsystem. Carl's favorite thing about music is grooves and rhythm and his favorite thing about teaching music is showing students more ways to enjoy it. One of his favorite teaching experiences was hosting recording sessions as a student mentor at Berklee and seeing members of the program leave smiling and confident in the new tips and recording tricks I passed down from my teachings and experiences. When taking lessons with Carl you can expect a practical approach to theory and ear-training through known examples and friendly encouragement. He looks forward to getting to know you as a student and learning about your specific goals, interests, and learning style. Book a lesson now and get connected right away!
