Brett began playing piano at the age of 6. Over the years, he developed his skills further by working as an accompanist in middle school for theatre auditions. In high school he started playing weekly at a church which he continued until leaving for college. All the while, he continued to work on both his piano skills and music theory skills by tutoring students in both areas. Starting towards the end of college, Brett has been hired to teach/accompany at a summer theatre program in Florida by the name of Broadway Artists Intensive. Brett was initially taught using the Alfred books system for piano. His background for learning was mainly classically based; however, the years of being an accompanist has opened him to different styles of music.
Brett W. has over 8 years of music experience in the Chicago area.
Brett W. is proficient in and teaches Keyboard and Piano Lessons .Degree and Field of Study:
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
I teach using the Alfred books method because I feel it is the all around best one to teach piano. So my students should expect to use those books as we work. They also include music theory so the students will be learning music theory at the same time as working on their piano technique which opens up avenues to the student for writing music, singing as well as helping their skills on the piano.
