Nicholas began playing piano at the age of 6. Over the years, he developed his skills further by taking lessons till he reached college. He gained performance experience in high school and college by playing at such venues as the Minnesota State Fair, the Black Dog, Honey, and with acts such as Enharmonic, Covalent Blonde and as a solo performer. Though Nicholas can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are Sting, Debussy, u2, and Masako. Which all had great influence on his style of playing.Nicholas loves music because of the many different ways you can approach music and reflect your feelings into different sounds. Nicholas also loves teaching music because he believes everyone has different ways of creating art and learning new things about themselves through music. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, Nicholas can help you expand and enhance your playing. Nicholas is excited to learn how he can help you reach your musical goals. With every student I acquire I like to figure out how my students learn best. Through my years of teaching I have developed different methods to place my students on the right path that works with them. Teaching my students is one thing, but having my students practice and put in the work of what I demonstrate is a whole other level that defines the difference between an average piano player to a true musician that understands their craft. You can expect 110 percent from me at every lesson.
